About the Opportunity
Etex Australia now has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Distribution Operator to join their team in Bundaberg, QLD. This is a day shift role working Monday to Friday 6 am to 2 pm.
You will be responsible for loading up to 40,000m2 of plasterboard per day, receiving raw materials and maintaining a warehouse with the capacity to store 500,000m2 of plasterboard.
Additionally, you will operate with a strong focus on safety and procedures, and take continuous responsibility for improving distribution safety.
Core duties:
- Following all site safety and mandatory PPE rules and procedures including but not limited to chain of responsibility, mass management and manual handling.
- Loading trucks using seven-tonne forklifts with 4 tines.
- Creating loading plans.
- Inspecting and operator maintenance of forklifts.
- Standard housekeeping within the distribution area.
- Participating in daily toolbox talks.
- Proactive participation in safety meetings.
- Proactive participation in continuous improvement projects and activities.

Who is Etex Australia looking for?
Etex Australia is open to applicants who hold a current forklift licence and driver's licence. Previous experience with manual handling will also be greatly beneficial in this role.
You will need to be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
Previous experience with forklift operation will greatly help you succeed in this role, as will experience working to specific targets.
With varying responsibilities, you will need the ability to think creatively as well as maintain enthusiasm in all aspects of the role. A willingness and desire to learn, as well as a can-do attitude, will be essential to your success!
