The Etex Group is a multinational supplier of plasterboard, metal and associated products with over 14,500 teammates across 42 countries and 113 production sites.

About the Opportunity
Etex Australia currently has an opportunity for two Production Operators to join their team in Matraville, Sydney, on a full-time basis. You will be working across rotating 12-hour shifts, with 2-4 days on/off each week, and the opportunity to take advantage of lucrative shift loadings.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for safely operating a range of plant and equipment to produce a quality plasterboard product.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Operating, observing and adjusting production equipment to produce a quality plasterboard product;
- Routine quality control, reporting any issues to the Shift Supervisor;
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting; and
- Forklift use.
You will undergo robust training and have extensive support in achieving the above.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have a high degree of mechanical aptitude, with previous experience in manufacturing.
Specific experience in a continuous manufacturing environment will be highly regarded, though not essential to be successful in the role.
You will also need high-level communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a larger team. You will have the opportunity to undergo training to obtain any qualifications that will help you thrive in your new role, including obtaining your forklift licence if you do not already have it.
Most importantly, you will have a can-do attitude towards learning new things and advancing in the role, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work and make sound decisions under pressure.
It is essential that you are committed to ensuring the safety of yourself and other team members and are able and willing to adhere to Safe Work Procedures and standard operating conditions.
Please note: Due to the physical nature of these roles, it is essential that you are able to perform some manual handling and movements including walking up and down stairs, occasional lifting, and operating precision hand tools.
