About the role

Etex Australia now has an exciting opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join their team in Matraville, NSW on a full-time basis, working a rotating shift roster. The plant has experienced unprecedented growth and is now operating on a 24/7 shift rotation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and talented individual to join a well-established global organisation, and assume responsibility for the operation and performance of a continuous production line.  You will lead the plant in the areas of Safety and Quality, ensuring the needs of the customer are consistently met in a cost efficient manner.

Success in this role will lead to further career opportunities in Operations Management,  with extensive learning and growth opportunities.

Core duties:

  • Manage allocated shift resources to meet the production schedule while adhering to specified efficiency, safety, and quality criteria
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities within the plant
  • Troubleshoot and correct plant and product faults with the assistance of the maintenance and management teams
  • Optimise processes and equipment, including energy and raw materials consumption

Who is Etex looking for? 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be tertiary-qualified with a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, and have natural leadership aspirations.

You lead by example, have good planning skills, are able to think clearly under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills.

Already previously mentioned.You will be able to work with a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and initiative. You will be driven to exceed performance targets whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
