Late in 2020, Knauf Group accepted an offer from Etex Group to purchase the plasterboard and metal business of Knauf in Australia (Knauf Plasterboard Pty Limited). The transaction was completed 27th February 2021, with the organisation formally becoming Etex Australia Pty Limited.

About the Opportunity
Etex now has an opportunity for a National Credit Manager to join their team Matraville, NSW on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your main responsibility will be to maintain the exceptional standards already in place and to continually minimise credit risk whilst ensuring maximum sales profitability.
Some of your key duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Providing leadership to 2 team members in the credit team;
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of all credit related activities;
- Carrying out required activities in relation to debtors such as following up payments, debtor credit checks, recommendations for credit limit & terms and reconciling debtor ledgers;
- Continuous improvement of credit collection targets and key performance indicators;
- Working with the Executive Vice President - Finance in achieving the approved operating budget; and
- Visiting local and interstate customers as appropriate, to investigate credit collection matters and foster good credit relationships between customers and company.

Who is Etex looking for?
Etex is looking for candidates with substantial industry experience and a sound knowledge of security and legal aspects of Credit Management. Applicants must hold an Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM) qualification, with a Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant degree desirable, but not essential.
A background in leadership and experience with SAP software will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with others, with an entrepreneurial and proactive approach to their work to drive and deliver results.
As the nature of the role requires the management of client relationships, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
