About the Opportunity at Knauf Plasterboard

Knauf Plasterboard now has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Management Accountant to join the team at their Matraville office, on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this person will be responsible for the preparation, analysis and distribution of financial data to provide management with timely and accurate reporting of business performance and other key financial and commercial input.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Analysing and interpreting financial results, variances to budgets or forecasts, and identification of key business trends.;
  • Participating in the coordination and compilation of monthly reports including local internal management, business unit and group management reports;
  • Assisting in the preparation of proposals, including analysis, documentation and financial payback;
  • Preparing operational P/L, State P/L, regional sales volume, product margin, products' price, customers’ profitability; and
  • Driving the forecasting and budget process, including seeking information from other areas of the business.

Who is Knauf looking for?

The successful candidate will be a qualified CPA or CA (or be in the process of completing) with strong Excel modelling skills, and at least 3 years experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal management reporting. Any experience with SAP accounting software will be beneficial.

You'll be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a small, driven team, with strong communication skills that enable you to communicate complex financial terminology with the sales team and other stakeholders of the business.

Finally, Knauf is looking for a hands-on individual who's willing to roll up their sleeves and jump into any task at hand.

You will be driven and highly motivated, with a genuine interest in your own personal growth and the desire to progress your skills and career.
