About the Opportunity
Knauf now has a full-time opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join their team in Beenleigh, QLD. This is a full-time role, supervising the facility's Day Shift, with occasional weekend work as required.
Supervising Knauf's busy metal manufacturing facility, you'll be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing section operates with efficiency and productivity, delivering quality product on time and in full.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Building relationships with staff and key stakeholders;
- Active supervision across 4 buildings on a large site with lots of time on the floor;
- Leading by example, setting expectations and managing behaviours;
- Showing a strong commitment to improving safety culture; and
- Managing multiple priorities and ensuring only high quality products are delivered on time and in full.
Who is Knauf looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous leadership experience in a similar manufacturing environment, with strong mechanical/process aptitude, work ethic and people skills.
This role would suit applicants with an excellent technical foundation, with demonstrated supervisory experience and who are willing to be involved in the entire process when required.
A trade qualification or a mechanical engineering background would be an advantage, however this role would also suit an engineer in the earlier stages of their career and who possess excellent people and leadership skills. Knauf is looking for someone who has the drive to be successful and who is passionate about finding solutions to more efficient work flows.
Highly flexible and able to adapt your leadership style to the needs of different team members, you'll keep calm under pressure and be confident dealing with any challenges that can occur as part of a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll have strong written and verbal communication skills, including solid computer literacy, and take real pride in delivering quality work, setting a positive example that inspires others to follow.
