About the Opportunity

Knauf now have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Agent to join their team in Beenleigh, QLD on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will primarily be responsible for operating the counter sales and administrative functions of the site, including coordinating external transport logistics.

Standard working hours will be 7am-4pm, however you will need to be available, when required, to work a variety of shifts between 6am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Answering inter-state customer enquiries regarding Knauf products via email, phone and face-to-face communication;
  • Working within tight budgets and conducting price comparisons between reliable, external freight carriers;
  • Negotiating with external vendors to develop a daily delivery schedule;
  • Ensuring maximum load utilisation to reduce rates and / or effective time slot coordination;
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted correctly;
  • Maintaining cleanliness and stock levels of the retail offering; and
  • Other administrative duties as required.

Who is Knauf looking for?

To be considered, you must have demonstrable experience in a similar position, either within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and/or trade retail environment.

In this fast-paced environment, you will need to be able to multitask without compromising the quality of your service. You must be highly organised and flexible with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet set deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach will be essential to your success in this role. You will need to be an excellent communicator and be comfortable working harmoniously with a diverse group of people within and outside of the organisation.

You should be experienced with Chain of Responsibility (COR) laws to ensure that you are complying with all required legislations as a representative of Knauf.

As you will be working within a national Customer Service team, you will need to be computer literate and comfortable working online, using applications including Microsoft Excel and Skype. SAP experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
