About the Opportunity

Knauf is currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and career minded Distribution Coordinator to join their state of the art manufacturing facility in Bundaberg, QLD. This is a permanent full-time role, working 6am to 2pm, with occasional overtime as required.

A hands on and highly varied role, you will be responsible for a Safe and Efficient distribution process, always looking to improve efficiency and productivity of the daily operations.

Some of your key duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure efficient and timely inventory movements, ideally using your SAP knowledge and experience:
  • Analysis and optimisation of distribution plans
  • Ensuring all work is completed according to relevant legislation and stringent safety procedures;
  • Identifying opportunities to build on existing systems and procedures or develop new initiatives, with a continuous focus on improvement.
  • Coordinating warehouse stocktake;
  • Processing relevant paperwork and other administrative tasks;
  • Supervising a team of approximately 3 direct reports;

Who is Knauf looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need a demonstrated understanding of stock handling and inventory control, ideally with SAP knowledge and experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Driven and genuinely interested in growing with the business, you'll take pride in a job well done and be passionate about continuous improvement, keen to learn new skills, expand your knowledge, and challenge yourself and others to look at what could be done better. Highly organised, you'll be comfortable handling multiple priorities at once, able to multitask without sacrificing on quality and safety.

With a strong commitment to safety, you'll be confident leading by example, willing to jump in and help out wherever needed. You'll have the well-developed negotiation and communication skills needed to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, able to remain firm but fair as you ensure all work is completed according to strict regulations, with no room for compromise.

Your strong attention to detail will be crucial as you handle a variety of reporting and paperwork responsibilities. Ideally, you will be proficient in both SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Though not essential, experience working with forklifts or in high risk environments would be an advantage, as would any relevant qualifications or licenses.
